Yes, the seams are taped with white duct tape. I actually put a coat of wax over it to make it more slippery. I would've just put the nets down there and played hockey, but the "slipperiness" is the bulk of what my son likes while we're playing.

Yep. He puts on what he calls his slippery socks and plays. He's been down there playing since he's been up this morning. He brought his Buzz Lightyear CD player down and is listening to music, playing hockey. Good times!
