Re: Help Moving

Looks like everything is moving along with the houses. Our house is set to sell, I have a few minor things to repair that were requested by the buyer. I'm hoping to get most of it done this weekend (most likely today). We are still waiting to hear back on the inspection objections on the new house. The biggest on that list is the roof, it has serious hail damage.

New laws pretty much eliminate the possibility that hail damage money is pocketed as opposed to being used for the roof. My guess is that they could go through their home insurance and get that covered, so shouldn't be a major sticking point unless they waited too long. Sitting on a hail damaged roof makes no sense to me.

However, now that the extent of the hail damage is documented, it seems like claiming hail damage after the next storm would be a little unscrupulous, so I wouldn't budge on the roof (not that you gave any indication that you would).

that was my thought completely. They said they are running numbers as we speak and will get back with us on Monday.

The big storm we had was May 2014.

The closing is set for May 4th (Monday). We will be moving everything into the truck Sunday May 3rd. We will be unpacking the truck May 4th-5th. We are trying to get it setup for the piano to be moved into the house a few days early. I'm going to move the galaxie to the new house the evening of May 3rd.

Truck packing on May 3rd starting at about 10am till it is done. We will probably move boxes until people show.

Truck unpacking the evening of May 4th and all day May 5th. Being that these are weekdays and I assume everyone is working it will most likely be my Brother and I moving all the furniture in the house.

Shadow had mentioned he would be able to help for a bit. Anyone else?

With a few people, I'm sure loading the truck would only take a couple of hours or less.

Looks like everything is moving along. All the items we requested to be done on the new house should be done today. All the items on our house that were requested are done. Packing is coming along really well.

Just waiting to move into the new house on Monday.

See you sunday morning. Maybe we could do a drive by the new place since I won't be helping unload.

We are moved in. The move into the house would have been easy if it wasn't for the torrential downpour. It was coming down so hard that we has a stream running down the truck ramp.
