Car got broken.........

Postby GR-8 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 9:14

Yep. My RX-8 got broken into again. Don't know when but I just saw it. I was up till 3am or so and didn't hear a thing. Got up around 8. They stole the stereo. The AP was was sitting in the cup holders they didn't take that. Just the window, stereo, and damage to doors. Got to go to the PD and file report and call the insurance.

This is BS. Been driving the car for 3 days and it gets broken into. Best part is its not even at my house so UI couldn't garage it. But it's off the main roads so I fiugured safer it'd be safer than my house. Looks like I have to spring for an aftermarket alarm with a fob.

Sorry to hear that. The alarm should always be the first mod.

that sucks!!! ####ing bitches!!!!
Do you have an alarm? if not, time to get one... Was it in our neighborhood?

I watch the crime-maps/reports for our area, and car break-ins are constant,

Pretty much each of my neighbors have had their cars vandalized or broken into, and it's not like this hood is that bad...

Yeah. I should have learned from last time. But it was always garaged. Always deems like that 1 time it's left on the street they break into it. Almost like they roam the neighborhood every night to find something.

Yep still our neighborhood. I'm on the other side of downing now. I swear they stroll the are one street at a time every night just to find something. It's BS. I have the factory alarm. Took my chances not buying an aftermarket one. The best thing is the alarm won't go off when wires are disconnected. I tried it a bit ago and nothing happens.

It has the factory one. And I'll take the window.

Now I have to clean out Gramps small garage and put in a garage door opener. I'll be keeping a look out on the Craigslist but I'm sure people aren't that dump to sell it on there. Off to the PD.

I feel like a real idiot. I have not been in the car for so long I forgot the Nav display detached from the stereo unit. I can't find the serial number for it anywhere in the papers or box though. Its a JVC KW-NX7000. They don't have any of the wiring for it. It's all in the car still. Not like they can't buy it online.

That sucks man, sorry for your loss. Better to ALWAYS leave in the garage, but there's always that one day where you don't have access to one then BAM!

I had an old Neon that got broken into 3 times in 5 years at one of our old apartment complexes. Even had one of the wheels stolen off of it. They just left it sitting on the rotor lol. Wasn't even aftermarket. Was a black 14" steelie. After losing the 2nd expensive stereo I bought a $50 deck from WalMart and that got stolen too. Dumbasses.

Hope you can get your car fixed without too much trouble.

I thought about this same thing, but with a paintball gun or something else non-lethal. I'm not trying to go to jail LOL. Seriously though, maybe even frozen paintballs, if that works. Just wait for them to come back...street justice LOL!

Wow really? A stock steelie and a Wal-Mart stereo?? They must have been really stupid or really hard up.
