Yeah it definitely looks good, Chris. But I'll be honest, most of what I read was blah blah stringers blah blah stairs. LOL

Congrats again on the kid. I forgot she was pregnant lol.

Since Eric (junkie) was complaining that all I talk about is the stairs, I would like to say that we are staring on the floors haha.

Our initial plan on the floors was to have our neighbor (flooring guy) install unfinished red oak and finish it to match the stain we picked for the stairs (early american). Saturday early afternoon we talked to my dad and decided to get prefinished floor and have him install it. Doing it this way saves us about $400 and he makes about $800. Wife and I went to HD, Lowes, and Lumber Liquidators shortly after and decided we liked Red Oak Gunstock. We orded the prefinished flooring at Lumber Liquidators because they were 30c cheaper a SF.

Sunday I had to drive to Lumber Liquidators in north denver to pick it up. Once I got back to the springs, we started pulling up the carpet and prepping the subfloor.

I took pics of how it is looking now and will get those posted tomorrow (forgot cam).

I wasn't complaining, I was just saying all I understood was the word "stairs" and MAYBE a couple others LOL.

That will be nice. We need to pull carpet at our place and <> wants to put hardwood floors in place of a lot of the carpet.

Nice work on the stairs chris.

Looks nice, it's just a bitch to maintain. My brother-in-law replaced all the carpet in his entire house with hardwood and with dogs and kids it's a nightmare to keep clean. You're constantly sweeping/mopping or it looks bad, plus our house is generally a little cold anyway and with all hardwood floors it would be even colder to walk around in.

But if that's what you guys wanted and you're happy with it then more power to you. I would have wanted it too until I saw how much work goes into keeping it looking nice.

It is a lot of work to keep clean compaired to carpet but carpet just hides everything. I have really bad alergies and the carpets was not a good thing for me.

We did put carpet in the bedrooms so the floors would be warm getting out of bed.

Back-handed compliment: defined.
