SPOTTED! Exotics only

Postby MazdaTom » Wed Mar 19, 2008 9:14

I saw a Lamborghini southbound on Lucent in HR the other day. Couldn't tell which model it was.

Saw a Ferrari 360-like headed the opposite direction on C470 between Lucent and Broadway.

And I see lots of Porsches in HR all the time too.

I saw a black Ford GT northbound on Wadsworth the other day. He was coming either from Lockheed or Roxborough.

I spotted a Ferrari Sunday on Arapahoe Rd going towards I-25, we have a Ferrari (I believe 430) that lives in our subdivsion
Saw it a couple times right after we moved in, haven't seen it in a while. I'm sure its locked up safely in the garage.

I had a run in with a black Ferrari Enzo on I-25. Merged onto I-25 South bound from Auraria parkway.. Well I was in the speed 6 so I thought what the heck I want to check the front of this bad boy out... Well needless to say he/she didn't let me. I was pushing 110 and they had pulled atleast 2 semi trailer lengths away from me and just weren't stoppin. I saw it take the University exit a little too late other wise I would have followed it. (I thought if only I had my SS that day they would have me pull that far ahead :D )

A Black Enzo? Very weird. I've never seen them in any color other than red.

oh they exist alright :)

Oh yeah I also tried to get a guy that just pulled out of Ferrari of Denvers lot (or is that lamborghini of denver) with his new lambo to go at it, but he was just not havin it. He almost stalled it twice at some stop lights on Arapahoe so he was probably nervous as hell, lol. I-25 north bound was wide open and he just didn't want to do it..here's some pics from my phone

Enzo's ARE ugly. \

Boxster porches and those cheap ones like that don't count to make it no this thread.

I've seen many a Lotus, Ferrari and Lambo. Mostly on I-25 and 6th Ave. Always in when I'm the passanger or driving not my car. Had a few pics on my phone I lost. So I can't upliad them. Darn.

From today. Saw this masterpiece of an automobile at the Mazda dealer. It will be at the Denver auto show as well.

That was all from a single car show in Beverly Hills.

I've got a few hundred more pictures of exotics laying around.

That doesn't even include the stuff I've worked on.

Image

Took this car out street racing at night after wiring in a new stack dash for the new owner (need to dig up those pics as well)

Or the stuff I wasn't allowed to take pictures of (inside of a broken Veyron transmission my buddy was working on for example).

Exotics are... *shrug* I don't know.

Once you see the other side of things and have to deal with how poorly made they all are, you get a different perspective. I'd rather take that turner motorsports world challenge car over pretty much any exotic out there.

I know what you mean. Back in my autox days we'd occassionally get some exotic to show up. Everyone drools over the car in the paddock but ends up placing mid-pack at best- getting beat by Civics/Saturns on street tires. I'm not saying that with the proper driver behind the wheel, the car wouldn't place much better, but it still takes a little away when you see them finish so poorly.

I have shared a road course though with a Noble M1, a Ferrari 360, Arial Atom and a Ford GT. Each of those cars were driven much closer to their limits and were consequently much more impressive.

A while back I had a run in with a Porche GT2. We had some fun on I-70 at about 120.
