Yep, that's exactly what's going on down here.

Definitely agree haha.

alex_n/a wrote:they may be taking a while to repave because they are waiting for sunday night or whenever they have agreed that traffic will be the least. Also. The cones and speedlimit is there for safety. Just recently two tow truck drivers were killed in a hit and run. They were out there for no more than 30 minutes. Imagine for the workers that spend all day working on the side for the road how much danger they are being put in. I drive 25 even though it says 35. I don't care if the douche behind me is running late and trying to be ricky bobby in his prius.

If there are cones out and people are working, I will go the speed limit or under, depending on how close the cones/barrels are to their work, how close they are to the traffic, etc.

If it is after hours or on a weekend and no one is there, I may go a little over considering no one is there.

If there are no cones or barrels and no workers, but the speed limit signs are still up, they can kiss my fat white ###, I'm doing the regular speed limit...or maybe a little over LOL.

I don't want to take a chance on hitting a road worker, but if no one is there...

Hwy 287... Between Jasper and Isabelle in Erie. Electronic signs are up stating Railroad damage and speed limit drops from 60 to 45... and there's no "damage"... the RR Tracks are how they have always been, AND their is nobody working to fix them.

This. It sucked having to drive through the construction at Woodmen and Powers for 2 years, especially because when I was driving to work at 10pm is when they were doing most of the work and had lane closures, traffic backups, etc. But I have to say they did a great job and it was totally worth it. It's so nice through there now. Union and Austin Bluffs is another overpass they built which is awesome now that sucked for the couple years they were building it. But it was worth it. And Woodmen and Academy looks like it will be great too when it's done.

That sucks! Im sorry,

What was their exact reason for denying you?

Equal Opportunity Housing laws in CO are very strict, you can't deny someone for any reason other than them failing background/credit checks. I know bc i've been renting a place out for the last 4 years...

These people are stupid. Pretty much I was requesting too much stuff. They told me they don't sublet - i understand friends liing but FAMILY?!?!?! They also refused to understand they haven't leased in almost six months...me renting or starting to pay 08/15 should not have been a big deal. My coworker is awesome, but his mom and him seriously need to understand how to properly manage themselves as landlords.

Seem to be seeing (yet another) influx of Texans, sigh. Seems to go in waves. Texans one month, cali's the next. This used to be such a lovely state...

Losing $1600 out of my 401k in the last week because John Boehner and the Tea Party are a bunch of pricks. (Sorry, I try to avoid politics here, but this one just pisses me off.)

Hmmm, I wasn't aware the Tea Party had any political standing, I thought they were just citizens trying to get this country headed in the right direction, which is holding politicians accountable for their actions and fighting for what's best for the people in general. Learn something new every day.

So Alameda has been needing a repave for quite some time from University to Sheridan in Denver. It took them 2 weeks to finally finish the small stretch from University to Broadway and that ground my gears. But now the way they painted the freaking lines grinds my gears.

If any of you know how that road was you know that heading Eastbound it would go from 2 lanes to 1 at Franklin. Well now you are being forced to make a right turn at Downing if you are in the right lane and from then on it becomes 1 lane. If going westbound Alameda would go from 1 t0 2 lanes at Franklin. Now that doesn't happen till Downing.

What they did with the 2 lanes in the middle between Franklin and Downing pisses me off even more. From Downing for a block and a half the middle is just blank "undivable" pavment. You are no longer allowed to make and left turns from Alameda onto Marion or vice versa. Could be a good thing since that was a hard thing to do safely if you were on Marion. The next block over is stupid because now it's gonna be even harder for me to make a left turn onto Alameda from my street. I now have the option of only turning into 1 lane not 2 and well the center of those old lanes is now a left hand turn lane to turn on to my street. So now all that traffic will be in one lane and there will be traffic in the turn lanes as well. How will I ever find an opening to turn into 1 lane?

I'm drawing up a pic right now so you can see the diff.

So here it is. The green lines indicate Traffic lights.
