My DMV had probably 75-100 people waiting, but they also had all 15 or so desks manned at least.

Xcel. Power went out at 6:35 this morning for no apparent reason. Call at 9AM, they say it will be back on by 11. Call at 11:15, they say 12. Signed up for the automated call about a different time to expect the power on. Got a call at around 1 saying it would be back on by 6. Came on at 4. FFFFFFUUUU Xcel.

^Hey, they said it would be on by 6 and it came on 2 hours early? What more do you want?! LOL!!!

Man I love going to the DMV in uniform. I went there to register the Pathfinder yesterday, got there around 435 and was out probably 15 minutes later LOL. It actually wasn't that busy though anyway, but they have a couple military-in-uniform only desks so that always helps. I think I waited about 2 minutes before being seen. Sorry guys HAHA. Although I did have to pay $834 in taxes, registration and the 2% fee for using my debit card haha.

Yea the Airport one is the one I was at and they have the special queue just for uniformed military. I was there on a Monday morning just as they opened a couple weeks ago and it only took 35 minutes. But when I got up to the desk I found out that my bank had given me an unreadable copy of one of the forms where split it onto two pages right through the middle of the VIN. Then I had to wait for a replacement form and go back and it was an hour this time.

Oh well, at least I have Netflix on my phone to pass the time.

Nice, ha ha....I didn't realize military got preferential treatment. That's cool...

Oh yeah, the 2.7% card fee grinds my gears too. Luckily they accepted a check as the second form of ID...dodged that bullet.

Yea the DMV is really the only place I still write checks, heh. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay 2.7% extra just so I don't have to write a check.

I just wanted to leave there with actual plates to put on the vehicle, so I just bit the bullet and paid the additional 2.7%. It sucks, but at least I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Following that slow a** that creeps up the accelleration lane at 30 mph and then just dives into 70 mph traffic slowing everyone on the interstat down and putting you in a ridiculously dangerous position behind him.

P.S. Someone may have already said that, but it needed saying again!

Hearing that my friend was forced by his wife to sell his dream car, a 91 MR2 that he has had for years. They have two kids but they have a Civic and a Pathfinder so they already have plenty of vehicles for hauling the family around. She said "I'm sure he'll get a replacement later in life" (meaning never). The kicker? She just spent 5 grand on a boob job a few years ago. Yet he is supposed to sacrifice his car for the family when it's paid for and not costing anything? Bullshit.

I always renew online when possible. This time I had to go there to process the title paperwork from the lease changeover and just paid for my plates while I was there.

Ha ha, that sucks! Fake boobs? Well, technically those were a gift for him ;)

For every 'bad' wife, there's a good one. Mine just let me buy something I didn't need (which is why I was at the Clerk/dmv). Though, there's no kids in our household. Win-win? Heh.
