I know of a few people. LOL

That is some BS though. He could get his hand chopped off like that in the middle east.

It also grinds my gears that the congress can waste time pointing fingers and blaming each other instead of burying the hatchet just this once and making sure people risking their lives get paid. I bet if it was their paycheck on the line they'd have it done already.

I also hate corrupt government and wasteful spending, but I guess that's obvious haha.

We may not be on the same side of the political spectrum but I agree with this 100%. Both sides are being idiots and playing the blame game instead of doing their jobs and making sure our armed forces get paid.

I dont think it is accurate to say the military or thier families will not get paid, AFAIK (and I have been paying attention to the actual goings on, not the press) the military, post office, etc all still get paid, but the non-essential elements- parks and rec, government "help" desks, etc, are all going to be furloughed.
What grinds my gears is all the mis-information put out by the media in this country. How ****ing hard is it to tell the truth? The government "shutdown" will likely be the best thing since sliced bread. Kinda like when the bus drivers in Denver went on strike- I drove downtown when that was going on and traffic was a breeze without those damned busses everywhere, and people still go to work on time and everything was fine. Heck, would have been a nice budget cut to do away with them.
