Most of the Evo and STi drivers I see here just ignore me. My car's a little of a sleeper, or they just know they can whoop me.

SRT-4 drivers...another story.

Hehe i can finally post in here :D

As i was on my way home from the hamby stand meet this evening, i was cruising all by my lonesome on C470 and when i got to the portion that has the rather steep downhill section that is when the funny and fun story began.

I was cruising at 70mph and came upon a yellow turbo beetle with "seniors" written on the back window and a temp tag (grad gift i would think) who was matching the speed of an extremely slow moving van in the right lane. Both the beetle and the van were traveling at 55mph downhill. So i of course slow down but am a bit ticked off that the beetle is blocking me while she could easily speed up to say, the speed limit at the very least and pass the van and get over. But no, she decides to stay pacing the slow moving van. So i get a little closer to hint at her that maybe she needs to get out of the way. Well this pisses her off and she proceeds to tap her brakes as to let me know to back off. So i pull back a bit and now im in 5th gear going a whole 50mph on an otherwise empty highway. Well finally the downhill part is over and we start going uphill and the van slows down even more per the hill and a gap opens. I wait behind her for a moment to see if she will be nice and change lanes, well she doesn't so i roll onto the throttle and pass her in the right lane and get back to 70mph. I then notice that she is beginning to barrel toward me in the left lane so i let her get about a car length ahead of me and i decide i want to at least see if shes hot. So figuring shes just going past and not hauling ass, i slowly roll onto the throttle to catch up. Well im not catching up by being gentle with the throttle because she really is flooring it. So at about 3,200rpm in 6th i put the pedal down and within a blink of an eye im flying past her. I get about 7 car length's ahead of her and let off back to 70mph and she once again zoom's past me going at least 115. She then hits that brakes hard and i can see her yellow beetle sway back and forth in the lane as a result of her insane braking. Thats when i decided thats enough with miss senior. She must have scared herself because she got into right lane and slowed way down. I got beside her and she had put her dome light on and turns out she was hot! Heck yes!

Anyhow sorry for the unnecessarily long post, but i felt the details were needed. And since it is my first legitimate post in this section i wanted to paint the whole picture. Moral of the story; girls driving turbo beetles make me laugh.

Well, I guess I will submit my "kill". I don't street race unless I am in a bad mood and need to let off some steam.

Anyway, I was behind this douche in a new Civic SI at a light waiting to turn left. This guy has a what looks like at least a 3.5" exhaust tip on this thing and is alwasy driving through my neighborhood at 7k - 8k rpm so we all can hear him.

So we turn left and he is going maybe 45 mph at best. So I get in the other lane and start passing him, I'm only doing 50 - 55. Well, I needed to get in front of him so that I could eventually make my next turn, so as I am passing him I watch for him in my rear view mirror so I can get over as soon as her is clear. After about 10 seconds I don't see him so I look over and the douche is smiling at me and revving his engine. I figure what the hell, it's 6:30am on Memorial day and the road is empty. He guns it and I follow suite. Needless to say he was in my rearview mirror in a couple of seconds and fading fast.

I get over into the left lane as my run is comming up, and I get the good old fashioned ricer fly-by for my efforts.

Wasn't exactly difficult by any stretch of the imagination. The douche didn't even look at me when he did his flyby, just stared straight forward the whole time.

Couple kids in a Cavalier were trying to play with me on-base this morning. Idiots. They got right on my arse and rode there, laughing it up. Got to a stop sign, turning left, with me in front. I left them a good 500 yards behind by the time they got to turn, so I cruise controlled it at the limit. Sure enough, weenie-boys got right back on my butt. I ignored them, hoping they were going to follow me out the gate so I could leave them behind for good off-base, but they didn't. I turned, they went straight. Too bad. Would have been funny.

What is it with Civic Si's and ricer fly-bys? I was coming to work this morning and managed to get pole position at a redlight. Knew the guy in the Chrysler beside me was gonna be mellow, but the intersection leads across to a NICE right-hand turn of about 100-degrees. I like to push my car in that turn when I have no traffic around -- just test the limits of the car's turning at-speed. There was a red Honda behind me, but I didn't think much of it.

So the light changes and I move kind of moderately through the intersection, then nail it once I'm across the road. The Honda came through right on my butt, then moved to the left lane, but I still didn't think he looked like he was trying to pass or anything. So I nailed it, boost kicked in, and the MS6 did its thing. I probably gained a quarter mile on him by the time I stopped at the next light. Of course, Mr. Butt-hurt had to get right on my bumper and as soon as the light changed, DESPITE a double-yellow line, he tried to move left and pass me. Oncoming traffic prevented that, but as soon as I turned on my signal to turn right (since I realized he thought this was a contest, i was just cruising at this point, trying not to encourage him), he slid left, across the double yellow, and gave me his fly-by. That's when I noticed he was an Si. I flipped him off as reward for his efforts.

Moron. If I'd known he thought it was a race, or was going to get all dangerous on me, I'd have laid back and let him do his thing. But he didn't look like he was challenging, so I took off. Cripes. Si drivers have a 'tude, don't they?

Another very overt challenge today on South Academy. A kid in a red-and-black (custom painted) 350Z saw me, canceled a right turn so he could get behind me, then started playing. Revving, zooming up beside me, that kind of stuff. I let him get ahead, then made sure he knew he couldn't just walk away from me. Hung on his tail until I considered his driving dangerous. Then I backed off. He didn't. Took off at probably 15-20 over the limit through a VERY heavily patrolled area, high-traffic area.

It was nice to be able to stay on his tail and prove a point, but once he started to disregard others' safety, and once he reached ludicrous speed, I was done. Having fun is one thing, being a dipshit is another.

Ironically, his Z is customized by Caveman Wheels, right off 24 near PAFB. I see it there all the time. Icky Ricer spoiler and twin exhausts that sounded like shit.
