I swear... Chris you've gotten challenged more than me and had yer car only a few months. It's just not fair :( Although I think that may be because its the springs :P[/b]

Yeah, so much for my color making the car a "sleeper." I've also been tailed by the cops twice, though that could be due to four tickets in four years....

Last night's first challenge I should have seen coming. Constitution (road I was on) leads west directly to Grocery Warehouse, the local gathering for street racers on Friday and Saturday nights. No doubt he was headed there and probably thought I was too. Until he saw 7-year-old Kaycee in the back. LOL. Instant "NO" to street racers.

I was challenged once by a Ford Contour SVT by what appeared to be a bunch of high schoolers. I left them behind at the light at my usual pace while they were busy shredding their front tires. (tire?)

More than one person in a Focus, even the SVT model, and you might as well be towing a trailer.

I unexpectadly out of nowhere got challenged by an F250 this morning on the way to the restruant. After avoiding a massive sink hole on the right hand lane WB on Alameda just after Logan I got stopped at the lights on Alameda and Lincoln. Very tired early this morning. Well right when the light turned green he unexpectedly floored it So I said no no no MoFo and floored it to. since he took off first I was at his rear tires but we were dead even. A short distance away on Alameda and Broadway...Crosiing broadway the street goes up and back down. Well when I hit that middle intersection my rear tires lifted and when the tires hit back down I got a little extra boost kick and started gaining a little on him. We let off the gas for a few seconds and he got back on it so I did right when he did. I was barley inching away from him. Fast buger. He has a chip....There was so much smoke behind us that you couldn't even see anything.

LOL...next time, take a turn at-speed. Watch him roll trying to keep up with you.

A few months back, when I had my old 6S, I was parked at an intersection beside a Durango. We were both turning left (two turn lanes) and I wanted to get ahead of him and move over, so I gunned it out of the light.

Well, I only gained about a half car length on him before he managed to hang with me. Once we got to a speed I was no longer willing to maintain, I had to back off and fall in behind him...which earned me a laugh from the a-hole.

MAN I hope I end up beside him again...PLEASE let that happen, oh great God of driving fortunes...

We were stopped at union and woodmen. The guy looked like a dumbass. What the guy thought he would of gained by beating a little n/a car like mine I don't know. He was showing off to his friends that were riding with him.

Suprisingly enough, I get challenged in my 92 Miata frequently. In the past I have been challenged by an F250, a Challenger, every model of Honda imaginable, and several others. I have also been run off the road, had things thrown at me, and generally pushed around since it is a little car. What most people don't realize is the power of a lunatic behind the wheel of a little car! :38868414: :5f7de8e2:

In the 8 I actually get less challenges, I think it is due to the dark tint and noone can see who is inside.
