Possible Pueblo repaving - will you help?

Postby G-Man » Thu Feb 24, 2011 9:14

I know there are a lot of folks here from Colo Springs and points south. Maybe you can help?

This was originally posted on a road race forum.
The City of Pueblo is considering substantial improvements to the Pueblo road race track and it would be great if we can be at the meeting to voice our support.

Monday night, March 28 at 7:00 pm, the Pueblo city council will consider a substantial PMI track repaving project. Up to $900,000 could be allocated for this project IF there is support from the users ( us ).

Please get together with friends and other track users - car pool, etc. If we can get a large group to (politely) attend the meeting, we can further our cause. The projected re-pave will be a win-win situation for all clubs as well as an over-all improvement of our current track resources. We MUST show substantial support..........

Please invest in our sport by pooling down to the meeting being held at 301 W. B Street, Pueblo. This should be a VERY interesting meeting!!

I'm checking for information on who to email/call on this, too.
Sending polite emails and letters was a big help a few years ago to save the track. Let's do it again!
Pass it on...

Awesome! Hope they don't have to close it down for too long to do the repaving though. I am planning on going there several times this summer.
