Ok guy's. Here are three videos of my last time at Bandi before I took my car in to get the new motor. These were my worst times. Second would grind unless you shifted like a grandma.

I'm assuming the 'Stang was an auto V6.....good stuff though :) I can't WAIT for Bandi to open this season.

V6 yes. Not sure if he was an auto I don't recall. Beat him by .4's so I think it was a manual seein as my sisters auto runs high 17s.

I can't wait to dominate you at Bandi this year and then rematch next year with your FI 8 :)

Actually, most listings for the Beetle Turbo S, show it to weigh in at about 3005 lbs, whereas the RX-8 weighs in at an average of 3053 lbs, a difference of a whopping 48 lbs, I don't think I would call that "much lighter"... pretty damn close if you ask me.

I also wouldn't call a car weighing in around the 3000 lbs mark, with a whopping 180 horsepower, a "very very quick car" lol. At this altitude, obviously the little bug has an advantage of being turbocharged, so it'll lose less power than the naturally aspirated RX-8, but at sea level, I would fully expect the RX-8 to smoke the little Beetle that could.

Poor RX-8s at Bandi. Such the wrong venue for this sweet handling little car.

I agree completely, naturally aspirated, rotary powered sports car... the car was made for tight/technical autoX/road courses... a V8 powered RWD muscle car with a live rear axle is much more suited to the drag strip.... although, now I am extremely curious about how Ghost's car will do now that it's turbo'd :D

The only boom that my car would possibly make would be breaking the sound barrier ;)

Haha... We'll see at Bandimere this season. I'll be your FIRST race.

I can't believe you lost to that Beetle Jimmy. You could obviously tell how you mishifted in 2nd though.
