I know it is last minute, but there is the last of the Winter Series races this Saturday. Sign up closes Thursday March 10 at 10 AM. Hope to see many Mazdas at the race. Are you in? The race is just East of Denver.
Check out RMSolo for more info.

This is the address to the RMSolo site. It will tell you all you need for the event.
You must register by Thursday!!! I recommend that you do, even if you are intending to watch, just in case you change your mind at the event. You'll sign a waiver at the gate (to watch or race). Come early, there will be pleny of people to help you get oriented. The race is at Front Range Airport (about 14 miles east of Pena boulevard) I-70 east to Manila Rd, go north a mile, the gate is on the right just past the railroad tracks.
Please come out, this is a great bunch of people. Warning - You will get hooked!

In addition to what ecam said about registering, even if you don't compete, you can also take rides with other competitors- the etiquette is to try to ride during early runs (people typically get more serious during later runs, and a rider adds time) and ask if a driver doesn't look preoccupied (sitting in the car with eyes closed typically means they are "brain driving" the course.
We have loaner helmets to borrow- look me up for a ride, Silver Scirocco- vastly faster and more entertaining on an autocross course than you'd expect

I don't know $50 is a lot to spend just to "watch" or ride. My car isn't even broken in and am just looking for an opportunity to put some miles on. This seemd like a nice Saturday drive and a good opportunity to learn about autocross. I am interested in the summer serries.

I will be here this time. Riding with the ramseys, and taking photos.

It cost nothing to watch and get a ride or two. But if you want to race then it will cost the $50. Unless you really spin the motor, it is not much more than a good test drive. The tires are the parts that are worked the hardest. The brakes are hardly used. Normal engined Miatas are trying our best, your rig won't be worked hard at all, and you can short shift to keep the R's down. At least come out and watch. But personally I'd love to see a Miata run some best times of the day!

I wish I could go to this, but sadly family matters have to come first.
April 3rd I'll be there!

My dad and I should be there with our '08 S2000 CR.

I'm looking forward to it - I'm going crazy after missing the last three events in a row.
