How far in advance do you have to be signed up for these? I'd like to come but if it's going to be really cold or wet/snowy weather I don't want to bring out the Mustang.

What's the cost to register? I don't plan to drive, just ride along and take pictures.

A non member to race it is about $50 for the Denver events ($10.00 is a weekend membership) I believe it is $5-10 less in the Colo Springs sites. I'm not sure if you have to be a member to ride along (worst case that should only be the ten bucks) but you will have to sign a waiver to watch, be near the cars, ride and drive.
I used to race back in 78-81 with the San Diego club (at the Murph). It has taken this long to get to a point in my life when I could justify an additional "toy" to race with. You guys (and Gals) that have suitable vehicles (in my opinion) SHOULD take your cars to an autocross event and race them. There is a class for most anything (not sure where the Model A would fit in) the only real exceptions are things likely to roll (high center of gravity) and things that would not turn well enough to negotiate the course (strike two for the F350 4 door). The lessons learned for car dynamics and emergency maneuvers are awesome (and fun) on the track.
I highly encourage you to give it a try. I will even go so far, that if you don't like your day day at the track, I will personally refund you entry fee! By the way, I am not yet a member of the SCCA, but I will join by the next race Feb 20. This offer is real, Eric Hahn blue 99 Miata STR 45.

ride along/ spectate/ take pictures (you need a spotter to take pictures on course) is free, you just need to sign the liability waiver at the gate.
Look me up, I'll be the one giving the Safety talk at the drivers meeting.
