A VW for DW

So I smashed another deer Saturday the 8th with my Benz wagon. The wagon was on it's way out mechanically and not economically repairable so I found another beater wagon to replace it for daily drudgery and dog hauling. Was a write-off from that bad hailstorm that blasted Littleton. I might replace the hood if I find one super cheap and matching color. Otherwise I just plan on driving it till the wheels fall off, or I crash it.

You need a cattle catcher for the new wagon.

I like it. VW makes some good looking wagons.

It has been pretty good so far. It had a very minor exhaust leak that quickly turned major. Metal gasket between the turbo and the exhaust mani, apparently notorious for failing on these little Audi turbo 4s. It was relatively easy to access but an absolute pain to get all the old gasket material flaked and wire wheeled off of the flanges. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Well that didn't last long, the 1.8t notorious for oil sludging started knocking, flushed the oil and put fresh in (was only about 2k since last change on Mobil 1) and she made it 25 miles and started the bad knockety knock. Its gone now, hope I learned from that to better research a car before buying.
