So you can take the front plate off and not have visible holes in your bumper for pictures.

I like it. You've got a nice ride, there. My wife always thinks I'm crazy when I point out this generation of Forester and say that I like them. She doesn't share my wagon love, though.

Yup, so i got my boost gauge installed, it works great. Now the issue is trying to find a boost leak or if i need a new turbo (has 130k) as im only hitting 8lbs TOPS, 5-7lbs consistently. Grr. Any ideas?
Looks great though

You can pressurize the system with compressed air and use a spray bottle with soapy water.

Or spray some ether around the boost hoses/couplings at idle. If you spray a leaky spot the engine will rev

That would be if there was a vacuum leak.

Alex, what is the boost target that you should be hitting?

If i were you i would spend the $8 for all the stuff from home depot to build a boost leak tester.

That actually sounds about right. Stock boost is only 10-11psi and you're going to see less boost being at altitude. Just like in an MS3 stock boost is around 15psi and you only see 12 on a stock one at altitude.

Yeah target boost is 10-11 or so. I tightened some clamps down and now see 9 consistently and it tapers down to 5 and holds. I forgot about the altitude factor so I'm technically exactly where I should be. Slow. Haha. I probably will make the boost leak tester in any case it'll be handy
