'92 Miata: Budget Project Car
It's really not too bad. Coloskydiver and I did the swap on mine in a day with me buttoning a few things up the next morning. Still started right up despite having a baggy with a few leftover nuts and bolts lol.

Woo, FM finally got the adjustable control arms in. Another thing to add while the car is out of commission. Then it's off to Saul's Miata alignment shop. They'll be here Monday.

Nice. Do you have the bushings to go with them?

Yes, they're stock size, I can reuse the poly bushings I just put in.

I'll take it back apart later today. I've read it can be a pain to get back in, just takes a hard shove to get it past the clip that's on the axle. Yesterday, I just needed to get it back to rolling status.

Axle back in, just took a couple of spins of the axle and a quick shove. Got it on about the third try. I'll have to take it to the Saul_Good alignment shop when I'm ready.

Apparently I went a little crazy on camber. Serious rubbage on the driver's side. I need to adjust both sides a little bit and determine if I'm going to raise the car slightly. Hopefully, I can get to the car next weekend after getting the garage in shape. As Shadow mentioned before, weekends are slipping away and I want to get the current stockpile of parts installed.

Adjusted rear camber a bit this morning. No longer rub, but I also want to get a real alignment. Took it for a spin and verified no rubbing. Also seems to track a bit straighter.
Cut down/ground down the rear brake dust shields. When I swapped the larger brakes on, I had to trim the shields. I was excited to get them done and never cleaned them up, they were razor sharp/jagged/etc. Grabbed the grinder and cut them down, then ground the edges off. I almost slacked and didn't do it, but when I went to adjust one of the control arms, I merely brushed one finger against the trimmed shield and cut my finger. All in all, took about an hour from start to finish, jacking the car up, adjusting the arms, cleaning up the dust shields, and having everything torqued back down.

I'm probably going to start pulling the ancillary stuff off the car this weekend. I'm good at starting projects, terrible at finishing them. So I'll need a kick-in-the-### from people to help motivate me to get it done. I travel for work on the 20th, so I'm hopeful to have it apart and back together before I head out.
