Keith owns his own shop and specializes in Subarus. He can probably find everything you need, and tell you everything you need to know but isn't in the assembly manual.

Six Star is actually building a 818 themselves to race.

Shadowden mentioned that there are a few guys out there making the EV swap into their S2K's and made me remember this article I read.

I wonder what this car weighs considering a WRX drive train weighs in at 1800lbs.

Well good news on my car, it is being delivered on Thursday and all the work begins. I have 97% of what I need and 75% of what I want. As the say, "it is never done" as was the case with my Miata. I am having to pick what is a necessity and what is a want. I will post up my pictures as the kit comes off the truck and as I build the motor.

It is still up for decision but am leaning towards a grey/silver with black and red accents. There is going to be a decent amount on carbon fiber on the car, the Front & rear splitter, a vinyl CF wrap on the mirrors, the engine cover and possibly the dash. My inspiration is was the Elianore Mustang color scheme with some small subtitle red accents.

Car was delivered today and there was a total of 8 FF cars in the trailer, everything from couple 818, couple Cobras and 33's. Pretty cool how they pack them in there. Everything went well and is now time for the fun to begin.

It is assembled for shipping. step one is disassembly, then begin building. I am planning on spending some time tomorrow and finish pulling everything off to a bare frame. Next is the fire wall, than suspension.

I had a few days off and made some progress on the build. The fire wall is fully assembled and was a lot of work. The firewall is made up of 9 panels that needed to be drilled and riveted in place. There are probably over 75 rivets in that fire wall and was actually fairly time consuming. Thank heavens that the shop had an air rivet tool. Doing that by hand would have been a nightmare. Once the firewall was done it was on to the front suspension. Parts needed to be painted, lower control arms needed modified, assemble the upper control arms, install the knuckles and then the breaks. I also got back the transmission from being rebuilt and while they were in there they installed a Legacy GT gear set (basically a STI gear set and twice as strong as the stock gears) and installed a Cusco LSD. Now it just needs painted and installed. Next is the rear suspension and then onto the drive-train installation. Here are some pics.
