It's disturbing that you're familiar enough with mouse crap that you're able to recognize the smell despite being overpowered by oil.

the mouse smell overpowered the oil smell before I drove it back over the mountains. I actually hosed the interior out, lol.

Last night I replaced the fuel sending unit (and pickup), fuel pump, and fuel filter in the work parking lot. I was having a problem with the truck stalling on the way in to work on tuesday. The problem turned out to be the fuel pump even though it was only 4 months old.

I also installed the rear emblems and reflectors. I'll get a pic later.

Cool. Seriously, thanks for getting my truck prettied up a little bit. Now I'm just waiting for your RX7 to get finished so I can finally get it back!

I haven't cleaned any of it yet or painted.

I replaced the inner fender on the passenger side because at some point it was almost completely cut out. You can see why I need to rewire the truck.

I had to replace the passenger side door because or was in such bad shape. I still need to finish the rust repair, paint, install trim, and install the mirror.

I picked up a chrome front bumper. The chrome is in fairly good shape for its age and will be a huge improvement over the painted bumper. I also picked up pieces I was missing for my sliding rear window. As soon as I get them installed, I will be able to lock and seal my rear window the way ford intended.

I picked up a new rear sliding window seal a week ago and I plan to have it installed this week.

I went to the junk yard on Friday and got a good hood and wiper arms.

3 project vehicles at once. You are the man. No other married person in the world could pull that one off!

My truck has been giving me fits all week.

Started out the starter was giving me trouble so I replaced the solenoid. That didn't fix it so I replaced the starter.

After that I replaced the battery because it was dead. The new battery started the truck right up so I thought all was good. Next morning the new battery was dead and the regulator was making noise. I replaced the regulator last night and jumped the car. I went to crank the starter and it stuck on causing the battery terminal to smoke and heat up. I got it all disconnected before I caused a fire. I know there is a short somewhere.

I'm down to:
-Bad new solenoid
-bad ignition switch
-wiring short under the dash

anyone have any ideas?
