As mentioned above, thanks to Shadowden....

New motor mount:

Not quite sure if I like it yet. It's quite a bit of a vibration. Gonna try it for a week or so and go from there.

the vibes will let off a little, then you won't notice them.

It's a used mount; I guess I just expected it to be broken in already. Who knows.

I think it's more that you get used to them over time, not that they actually go away.

Boy, glad you got it installed quickly. I thought the combo of SS and RMM was great for shifting. I put on that passenger side mount before getting the RMM on, so can't comment on RMM vibrations solely. I got used to having everything locked down with the two mounts installed in about two weeks though.

It was cool to see you moving around well. Kind of upset I didn't see a driver comparison of my S2000 and your 3 though:mellow:

Wheels look great on the car. Everything you are doing is coming together great!

After driving a while this afternoon, I'm starting to take to this mount. The vibrations are only really when you start out from a stop, and the car definitely feels more "planted" as far as power to the ground. I think we'll get along well.

I'll say that going back to the stock mount felt odd...Glad I only had to drive it like that for <40 miles.

WHEN AA fully builds that sedan, the normal speeds will have trouble. His power to weight should be better. If he starts with a motor out and builds the entire thing, he can also run a lot more boost than what a stock engine can handle reliably. I'm pretty excited to see it, but know it is going to take some time. MAy as well do it once and do it right.

I've not heard the latest...what turbo you looking at, and are you getting a second motor to build while you have current in place and then do a big swap out?

I thought the car was totaled, or darn near, at least.

Last Friday, a young lady made a right turn from the left lane in front of me. Hood hinges were bent, pushing the hood into the right fender, and the radiator support is broken, and the rest, well, you can see.

There was some discussion over the weekend as to the value of the car, and the cost of repairs. There was also discussion as to options should the 3 total.

However, the car is NOT going to total, and today the other driver accepted liability. Repairs should proceed next week, if all goes as planned.

As it currently stands, I plan to lightly boost my 2.0L while I acquire the powertrain/ECU from a Speed3. That engine I will then build to handle more power, and make decisions about turbos and such during that process.

The advantage to boosting currently is that the setups I develop now will be such that they will serve for both engines. The intercooler setup, for example, will be a front mount with custom piping since my hood does not have the same bulge as the MS3. The only thing I can say for sure currently is I plan to have a black FMIC so that it retains some sleeper status.
