Yeah I'm 6'6" 290lbs 38-40" waist, long torsoed, so it's a real gamble if I can fit in any racing seat. The biggest thing I'm concerned with is the lean back angle, in order for me to fold myself in my FD comfortably I have the stock seat reclined pretty far back, I might have to devise a way to tilt these things back or something. It's probably a ways off for me anyways but it would be nice to know if they're even a potential option.

Miatas limit you on how far you can lean back because there's no backseat. You can only lean back as far as the wall behind you will let you, which really isn't very far. That doesn't really apply to you though, heh.

I really do like the seats and fit well in them. I am 6'3" 175lbs with a 33" waist and fit snug but comfortable. Like Eric said, I tilted the seat back by about 15-20 degree's. Great seat for the price and like the fact you take the cushions out for adjust ability and cleaning. My seat is fixed, no rails and the back is bolted through the floor board to get me as low as possible.

Ron, it's been a while... I have to say, your car evokes my jealousy!! It is truly a masterpiece.

I'm curious, with the V8 & the blower ect, have you thrown the little white powerhouse on the scales? I'm just curious how much weight she picked up with all the go-fast goodies. More than a fair trade-off for sure, just curiosity on my part. :)

As she sits now she weighs a little over 2600 lbs but going to forced induction for this elevation is well worth the weight. Great little car and just a blast to beat on and is car you can.

Some new hood candy to deal with some heat issues . My car ran nice and cool when moving but when idling in traffic on a 90 degree day, it got hot and I felt like there was room for some improvement. The Monster Miata kit came with a pair of pusher fans you mounted on the front of the radiator but is not a very efficient design. The issue is with the stock hood latch, you could not move the radiator forward enough to have enough space to place puller fans on back of the radiator. Hood latch was removed, radiator moved forward and a radiator shroud and two puller fans were installed. This alone solved most of the problem but still had some room for improvement. In comes the hood vents. Almost all of the FM V8 car utilize the hood vents to reduce under hood temps and with the supercharger I really need it. It now runs cooler than ever and doesn't get hot even in traffic .

I like the louvers, I'm still not sure about the hump. Could you just go with a stock style hood and put a large scoop?

The bump is to clear the pulley of the super charger. The only other option was a cowel hood and prefer the bump.

Here a video of a open track day last week at Pueblo Motorsports Park. Neat little track, there was only six of us out there all day and were there as a group. We ran down the strip (lights weren't on, just some heads up racing) and used a lap timer app to record our lap times. The best I put up was a 1 min 52 which was good because the track was quite dusty and the strip was extreemly slick, no traction in lanes what so ever. That is why I ran down the middle. Good time.

Thanks for sharing! Nice video - looks like a beautiful day. Car sounds absolutely terrific. Cool to see the camera angle change under braking/acceleration. Fun stuff.

Bitter sweet day. Looks like the car is sold and may be gone by the weekend. Still in a bit of shock and really hasn't sent in. I am excited about my new project but is still a ways out and nothing will ever compare to 375 V8 WHP in Miata. At least it is gong to good home to someone who is going appreciate it.
