Sorry, for the delay in the response but have been out of town for awhile and busy with work. The K member and all the rest of the Monster Miata kit should be in this week but remains to be seen. I have been mostly buttoning up the motor. Except the power steering, I have the front accessories done, installed the oil pump and new modified oil pan, and installed a few sensors in the motor. The have all the parts for the smog pump but need to figure out how and where everything attaches. I have looked through the Chilton manual but the diagrams a vague.
Once I get the kit, the priority will be to get the car back on 4 wheels. I need the new hubs for the rear and the K member for the front suspension. I should be able to install the new Koni Sports and RB springs. Then I need to get the engine bay painted. I was told to use a DuPont single stage enamel for the engine bay but need to do some checking around.

The K-Member came in yesterday along with a few other parts from Summit. I was surprised to see what the modifications to K-Member actually were but makes sense. I will post up some Pic's tomorrow. From Summit I got a bunch of sending units/sensors, 75mm BBK throttle body & EGR Plate, oil pickup tube, oil filter adapter, one piece oil pan gasket, and oil pan hardware. Its all the tiny bits to finish up the motor that will nickel and dime you. There are benefits to starting with a great donor motor, rather than starting from scratch.
This weekend I hope to get the K-member back on, re-install most of the front suspension, and install the sending units on the motor.

Well got a little bit done today and as promised here are the pics.
This was the state of the car for the last few weeks. A shell.


I installed the rest of the Ploy bushing for the suspension (greasy job) and was able to get the front and rear control arms back on the car since the new K member came back.
The modifications to the K member seem to be the two perches welded on and chunk cut off and re-welded on passenger side. It is kind of hard to see in the pic but if you are looking you can see what was done.


I am waiting a set of Fat Cat Motorsports bump stop kit and shock boots to come in and then I can install the rest of the suspension.

I should have a few more pieces coming in to finish up the motor and then it will be ready to drop in. The main thing I need to focus on is picking a color to paint the car and then getting the engine bay painted so I can install the motor. One step at a time.

I am still trying to figure it out. I think I need to go to the paint store and get a book. I started out with white because it is the easiest color to paint. I would consider Subie blue or something close and could always go with some sort of red. I am still leaning towards white and think that there some cool things I could do make it look different.

subie blue would be a hard color to get right. I lean more twards dark colors on cars like yours. I think it gives it a little meaner look.
