Wow I didn't realize your gears were so tall. It's a Ford rear end right? I'd try to get a set of 3.73s or maybe even 4.10s if you're not planning on doing a lot of highway driving. I bet just the gears alone would shave a few tenths and get you pretty close to 13.5.

Still a respectable time for the car. A bit of tuning, some gears, and some practice, I bet you can bring that down. As stated, the gears will help, even on for autocross.

Landon out of Iowa is running 10s with his SBC miata. My goal is 11s. It can be done, but it is a simple fact that our cars are not fast out of the hole. You have to be able to get it on the big end. I'm building a 500hp 406ci to replace my 327. With a 100hp shot I should be cruising into the 11s easily.

Lol, 500hp alone in a 2500lb car should get you into the 11s by itself. Add a 100 shot and some slicks and I would think you'd be in the 10s.

I tuned my carb today and dyno'd Ms. Budweiser. My previous numbers were 270hp/306 tq. I had planned on building the 406 to get to the 400tq mark on motor then throw 100 shot at it. Then I produced these numbers today:

A guy with stock twins in a gutted FD and slicks ran 10.87 @ 130mph, he is making 423rwhp and weights around 2500lbs plus driver.

Of course, this was near sea-level.

420hp is 420hp. It's just harder to make that same 420hp up here.

Some nice numbers!!!. I am thinking that I might be going the Nitrous route as well. Like I stated, I can pickup a really nice kit for cheap and my motor is fully built so it can handle it. I like the fact that you can turn the system on and off when you want it.

I picked up a 5 point harness today for cheap and got one side installed. Talk about being straped in and being one with car. I picked up two Autopower harness's for $100 with trading a GT40 upper and lower intake. Not a bad deal and just ordered some harness pads and will take some pics once everything is installed.

As seen in the photo's, I was able to ride around the track in a friends 911 Carrera 4 and then got to drive the BMW Z4-M for 5 laps. My car is violently fast but that BMW was smooth fast and handle so well. What a great car!!!

The BMW driver and I swapped cars and we were both impressed with each others cars. He was impressed with how light and agile the car was. Out of the three of us I was the fastest but was more due to I knew the track a little better. The Carrera was quick but i was quite a bit faster around the track but towards the end that BMW and I were about even.

Yeah, I bet the BMW is really well balanced with good powerband. Even though yours has more giddy-up, once moving it is probably a pretty good match with the better handling. Not much you can do with the V8 over the front.

In the persuit of "more power" I ended up buying a Kenne Bell suppercharger today. I have been watching Craigs List for months in hopes something would pop up for the right price and last night it did. I stopped by and looked at it today and bought it. It is a Kenne Bell for the 5.0 Fox Body Mustang with an 8 lbs pulley. It was a pollish with only 20k miles on it and picked it up for $1500. Wasn't planning on spending the cash so soon and had a few other things on my list (suspension, rear breaks & seats) but could not pass it up for the price. This is the solution to all my power need and am hoping to hit about 365-375 WHP and will eventually get an E85 tune and will pick up another 35-40 HP's . They say install is as easy as a lower manifold swap. I will need to swap the lower intake to a GT 40 manifold and then the SC just bolts on like the upper manifold. Everything else bolts right on. I hopping to have it installed this weekend and tunned sometime next week. Wish me luck.
