Well I finally found out why my trans cries so much, bad clutch master cylinder. That's not such a bad thing, it will be fixed before the weekend. But last night I was turning from higway 83 onto southbound powers, a turn I've made hundreds of times by the way. And little did I know the ENTIRE turn lane was covered with sand. :70bbd918: When I tried to slow for the onramp, the car wasn't slowing down, and I couldn't hear it skidding. No, the stereo wasn't up loud, it won't play cds anymore so it's time for a new one. So anyway, I let go of the brakes and reapplied, no change aside from actually hearing it on the gravel. So I got off the brakes almost in time to steer clear of the curb that follows the turn. I clipped the corner of the concrete triangle of death as I turned away from the onramp on my right and missed the metal reflector pole, fortunately I could actually use the lane that fcontinued through the intersection. I only caught the corner of the curb, which is sloped up at an angle, so it's not a complete curb shot. Didn't knock the alignment out, but it did leave a mark on the rim and chunk the tire. :o Now I need tires and a new CD player!!! Dammit!!! STUPID SAND!!!!!!

Scary stuff man! I had a rubber brake line rupture on me when I was on the brakes hard stopping for a red light. Nothing like having the brake pedal go to the floor when you know there's cross traffic in the intersection! But I pumped the brakes and caught a break in traffic and stopped not too far into the intersection.

Watch it Gold looks like your next on the list seems like you only got a little scratched up. Good thig nothing major happened...but it still sucks. I hate sand. Denver never puts any down but Lakewood goes sand crazy. I have to take turns I normally take going 30 going 15ish sliding I go.

This is like some scary final destination stuff going around the club for our cars. I wonder whose next since Gold escaped?

It wasn't so much a drift as a straight slide really. And it was motivation enough for me to take the stainless brake lines out of the storage container for install this weekend. Yeah Josh, I need to have night vision more than learn to drive, I couldn't see the sand, and it wasn't there a couple of days ago. Oh well, I guess I need tires and a cd player now.

That's OK. My teenage daughter's drama has kept me up way too late to get to the gym the last two days. I'm hoping mother nature doesn't interfere tomorrow morning.
