A few pics from the Colorado Grand Car rally in Vail

If you haven't been, many cool cars to be seen. They limit it to 85 entrants, and cars are to be 1960 or older. A few exceptions exist, though.

I made it up. So awesome. As soon as I get intrawebs in my new place I'll get my pictures up. The 250GTC with the green and white stripe was my favorite but some of those old Aston Zagatos and that Cobra 427 weren't far behind.

I'm going to try and make it, or at least some portion of it, on a yearly basis. I've been there for the "finish line" before, and I hope to do that next year. Although it'd be cool to see them pull in to one of the stops during the week, too.

No doubt, see all of those amazing cars rolling around would be quite the site.

Comcast couldn't get my internet set up today, I'm posting from work, something about my apartment not hooked up right and they're going to have to send someone out to re-wire and bury the wire. I'll get the pictures up eventually.

Very cool. I actually drove past there and saw them unloading some of the above gems off trailers.. Wish I could have stopped in, but I was late for a date outta state.

These cars were on trailers to get there? Bummer. Favorite was the one (were the ones) driven there.

Most of the cars not local to Colorado are trailered in. They still do the 1,000 mile event, and most of these cars participate in many other similar events across the world. A few of the cars came from overseas, as well. So, other than the Healey that got a wash, all of the other cars were appropriately dirty and bug splattered.

I wish I could have made it to this. I actually has my car in a car show in Woodland Park at the same time.

Yup, a lot of them showed clear signs of having been driven lot since their last wash. Dirt, mud, dead bugs, bits of rubber, etc.
