Doooooo it! Thanks. It turned out nice. The valve cover has hammertone on it now so it looks like im going to strip it down and wrinkle coat it too. Going to be a lot of black up top tho..
So I was excited to jam this thing together this weekend but wiseco sent me standard bore pistons even tho all the paper work says .0020 oversized like it should be. Looks like shes going to be down for a bit longer

Lol. Yea I dont trust the stock ecu as far as I can throw it. The stock ecu broke 3 motors before I got the msp. Fixed the tod bending with some forged rods and a megasquirt. If I were you.. I would be looking at a megasquirt. You can build one between $200-300.. it's about the cheapest standalone ecu youll find.

I know its not build related but I put had the car on a dyno
just so I can get some actual numbers and the car put down
219hp and 225tq sad part is I had 85 octane in it and the car is not tuned, I know its not a lot at all but compared to before this car has come along way, 12k on the turbo kit and its still going strong and still get great gas mileage, its so tempting to build the spare motor I have but im happy with what its making now, but then again I think what if I can have a 300 at the wheel? and reliable! but then again I already get horrible torque steer from 2nd to 3rd gear already and broke to motor mounts lol . For now I think im leaving it as it is so I can drive it through winter and foucus on the stang or bmw build, but come summer I am def going to build that spare motor, this car is def better then an srt4, cobalt, Hondas and stock msp3's!

About the same power as a stock MS3 and about 600lbs lighter.. I think the protege might just be a little quicker
Those numbers aren't bad at all. What turbo are you running on that thing?

Are they all supposed to be up at the same time???
Just kidding. Bottom end is assembled. Cylinder head tomorrow and then time to jam this thing into the car. The rod bearings were a little loose and have me concerned but my machine shop assures me that its not a problem. Might run a heavier weight oil just for good measure.

A stock MS3 puts 245-260 lb-ft torque to the wheels, depending on who you ask.
According to edmunds.com
The Protegeweighs in at 2843 lbs curb weight
The MS3weighs in at 3153 lbs curb weight.
Difference of 310 lbs.
Good work on the Speed Protege btw. Looks good.
"Littering, and?..."
I'm not sold lol. You can find stock MS3 dynos with SAE correction factors that put the power around 235whp. That could be a closer match up than it sounds.. would be interesting to see.
Thanks, it's finally coming together. Wouldn't have got the cylinder head on tonight if it weren't for Alex dropping off some dowels tho.
