Transmission Issues: any and all

Ok, for the 3 of us on here is MS3's, i'm attempting to get us some support on the transmission end of things.
I am (hopefully) going to be working with Jacks Transmissions here in the springs to address common issues, as well as possible performance upgrades.
What i'm looking for from you guys, is common problems, and possible upgrades to improve the speed3 trans.

What kind of issues are you having?
I'm at 70k and haven't really had any problems... (Stock)
Sometimes I miss a gear but I blame myself,

I'm really looking at the common stuff. Some of the common issues are the second gear pop out, the gears not really working when its cold, gear lock out and odd speeds/RPM. Things like that.

I don't have mine anymore, but pretty much all of my shifting issues were solved by upgrading the rear mount. After that I had zero transmission issues up to the 21k miles it had when I traded it in. Granted that's not very many miles, just sharing what took care of my sloppy shifting, grinding, etc.

My biggest pet peeve is... getting into 1st gear. At times (more so when its cold/er) it doesn't want to go into first. After the car gets hot (not even warmed up) it gets better/goes away. Never has been bad enough for me to do something about it-- just more of a nuisance is all.

Holy crap, I thought we all sold our MS3's! j/k
I had 36K on mine with zero transmission issues. Not sure I even read about any people having transmission issues, beyond some minor improvements made with engine mounts. In the cold it was pretty slow, but having driven other manuals, that's normal until the transmission warms up.

Even my RX acts the same way when cold, completely normal.

I don't have any issues with mine. I upgraded the rear engine mount and switched to synthetic transmission fluid pretty early on at less than 10k. I'm at about 27k now, and not a single issue.

I've never had any problems with my trans but I do have gripes. A few have already been mentioned. It's annoying when it won't let me in first sometimes, but I've had the car long enough I've learned to only go for 1 when the car want's to

. The second one is overall notchyness, especially from 1 - 2; it's rarely a smooth gear change. Cold weather it hardly wants to work. I think the trans is the biggest downfall of the MS3, I am just not happy with it. And this is all even with an upgraded rear mount, bushings, and a Cobb short shift. But I haven't had any real issues.

I'm having mine looked out. Might be time for a new clutch (especially considering the new engine and all), but not sure until I hear the official diagnosis.

I have 15k on mine right now and have had no issues. I will say this though, buy the shifter bushings! I didn't think it was going to make that much of a difference, but they sharpen up gear changes pretty well. Everything feels more responsive in the gearshift. I can now feel the gates for each gear very well.
