It got here two weeks ago!! Been ridiculously busy at work and this rain had me driving the Subie for a bit.

But Gillette is a good car. It sucks that I didn't really get to enjoy him in Summer (now that it's all fall-y 'n stuff) but the fall drives are nice still.

Here he is!!

NAs are so much better for track/autox. I'll trade you, too! Congrats!

Haha trade? Nawww.

He passed emissions today and is finally all legal. Now I'm playing around with exactly what I want to do with it.

T-bot has a 302 laying around that needs rebuilding. I could go the traditional LS1 route or try and do something else unique. I know that I will be replacing the wheels, tires, suspension, and putting an aftermarket exhaust on it as well. No clue where to start with the exhaust and suspension bit but I'm sure I'll be cruising forums for deals on it.

Then part of me wants to just keep it stock since it's in such good condition. I don't know, I'll decide on the motor build this winter when it's garaged.

Motor should depend on your goals. If it's a street ride, a 302 or LS would be a ton of fun, but I'm not sure I'd add the weight for autocross or track use. An engine swap will kick you into the higher classes where it will be difficult to be competitive with a street driven car. It'll also impact your suspension setup, since the added weight and distribution changes will change the spring rates, shock tuning, etc. What do you want to do with it?

I'd like to have it as a fun street car that could also be thrown into autocross or track driving if the mood struck me. It'll mainly be a street car though for now.

There's an LS Miata out here that ran autox last weekend. It was in the prepared class. Talk about fast! Congrats! Good looking ride.
