Well, as with any car, I always keep my receipts for anything bought, or any work done to my cars. Usually the last thing I do is organize them all and make a little Excel Workbook with warranty/repair/mods and vehicle info. I just put in the price of mods, and while not earth shattering (wheels and tires by themselves will probably be pushing what I've already put into the car in mods), it's still a bit of a shock looking at the money I've spent so far. Once I do the brakes, that'll be it for a little bit.

I also received the printout from Burt of my service/warranty history of the car. Always interesting to read what's been fixed before I got the car.

Could you show an example of the spread sheet. Right now I just throw everything in a file folder.

I did that with my Saturn. But the total amount spent figure was shocking (even for the Saturn). Ignorance is bliss.

I keep track of basic service and maintainence on a similar spreadsheet of mine.

That looks good, very simple and to the point.

Usually, the price seems to get left out of the spreadsheet. Haha.

To this level, that's when I started mine. The previous owner had every single record from when it drove off the lot new, and it was a 15 year old car by the time I bought it. Prior to that, I kept basic records on most of my other cars.
