Well this is my 7's replacement since the coolant seal blow it. tell me what you guys think, because guys laugh but girls seem to like it...honestly to me, the best SLEEPER EVER! its a porshe but without its running shoes sure its a little girly (or alot) but its a fun quick car that could use some modding

My mother-in-law has one (non-turbo) and has quite a few problems with it. She said she won't buy another Volkswagen. I used to have a Jetta and had a bunch of weird electrical problems with it. Probably won't be buying another Volkswagen either.

The cool thing about the Bug is that to do the timing belt you have to emove the bumper, hood, and front fenders, which is so full of win

I owned a 2003 turbo S which cost and arm and a leg to service had a leaky sun roof that you could here the water slosh around in the body panels when you turned corners but mountain states ripoff service dpt never heard it tarded it in for a Xterra then bought a 370z then bought two mazdaspeed 3's never been happier:D

Yeah, vdubs have their issues, don't let people discourage you. The ones that run fine without issues don't get talked about, only the bad ones.

That being said, my 06 Jetta has yet to go more than 3 weeks without the check engine light coming on luckily they've all been stupid issues that only confirm my hate for OBDII cars (Pcv valve, gas cap, and some bs emissions solenoid) and my car is CPO so it has a 2 year factory VW warranty so its all been free.

VW's were awesome when they were cheap transportation with decent quality, but now for whatever reason they are being considered more upscale and the price reflects that. Unfortunately, they are still cheap cars. Good cheap cars, but still cheap cars. I like them, have raced and likely will race them again, but the truth is that they tend to be maintenance whores, and that maintenance is not particularly cheap.

you guys make me laugh:lol: its just until i get another engine for my rx7 (rotary of course). otherwise the vdub is alright for now.

My wife still have her 2000 Jetta VR6. No major issues ever since I've started maintaining it. Just normal wear and tear for a 12 yrs old car. (cracked hoses and stuff) Still expensive to fix if you have to bring it in... or hard to work on if you do it yourself.
I have to say that we were lucky to get one of the good ones.

lol guess what! my check in engine light just went on...there is miss fires in cylinder one....so then i found a little bit of oil in the spark plug well...man i miss my rx7 didnt need to deal with that! but it doesnt seen to hard to fix (then again it is vw not a mazda)
