Help: Enabling LC in ATR

Postby movovr » Fri Sep 09, 2011 9:14

Wondering if someone can help me with enabling launch control in ATR (erod)? When I'm in ATR and "load" the map I'm running, it seems strange that most of the tables have no values in them.

Ex.) In Boost Table 3rd gear, nothing but "1's" througout. Is that how it's supposed to look? Seems like it should show the boost targets of the map?

I believe all I have to do is go into the limiter table and change the LC speed and rev limits. Currently they say 15mph and 6700rpms. If I drop it to say 8mph and 3800rpms and save + reflash is that it?

Sorry, I was out of town all weekend and wasn't online much and didn't see your post. Did you get it figured out?

Yeah. Didn't realize it's as simple as opening the map in ATR and adjusting the values. Saved the map and reflashed and it's working fine. Now just need to figure out what rpms to set at.

I first set it low around 2800 with traction control off....holy roast off!
I bumped it up to 3200 and left DSC on which seems better.

I'm curious what the difference is between AP Launch control and the WOT box or are they the same thing? I believe AP is a simple rev limiter vs. WOT box cutting ignition to 2/4 coils?

Is the AP rev limiter "safer" than the wot box? I ask because I can see it becoming addicting to use and I don't want to cause any issues.

Not sure which one would be "safer." If you are planning to go to the track though, you might want it higher than 3200. I had it on when I went and bogged badly twice with it at 3200, traction control off. I then flashed the same map with the LC turned off and got a slightly better run.

On the street though, yea, you don't want it too high or you'll just spin the tires.
