not trying to be a dick, but I know chaser was banned from 7club recently. Something about crappy customer service and bad fitment. So I would research fitment issues on this particular part. If it all checks out I say go for it. That would look sweet specially with a cf hood or even a cf lip.

yeah their scoot2 hood for the nb miata doesn't fit the mazdaspeeds because of our strut tower brace. you need to trim out the hood vents.

but ill have the money wednesday. that's just 1k better spent on something like the bits to rebuild my engine or tuning or to get my turbo that much sooner.

Unless you're doing Spec Miata, which you're obviously not, I don't see a reason for the hardtop. I drove my Miata in 20 below temps with a heater that didn't work very well and it wasn't THAT bad. So I just don't see how a hardtop is worth the cost unless you really like the looks of them. Personally I think the soft top looks better. Plus if you have the hard top on you can't just decide you want to roll with the top down when you're out somewhere. I'd rather put the money into the motor.

I really like hard tops on these cars but I'd put this money in the motor.

yeah so i was thinking. rollbar>hardtop.
rollbar pros:
rollbar i can still drop my top nomatter where i am. and i dont have to deal with storage.
roll bar gets me on nasa track days and hpde's
miata+rollbar no longer looks like a hairdressers car.
rollbar stiffens my chassis more than almost any possible mod.
for the price of the HT i could get the roll bar and a good helmet or seat w/ harnesses
cons: um...... it will cost 700?

hardtop pros:
ian said it.. "carbon kevlar is just soo baller"
it looks good.
A/C works better. heat isnt a concern because even with just the softtop the heater will burn me out of the car even on the coldest days.
um.. MAY get me on nasa track days? somehow officials think that a fiberglass/cf hardtop is safe enough for a rollover instead of a bar...
cons..
900+ shipping.
fading/clearcoat discoloration.
need storage to take it off. and when its on you cant drop the top when out for impromptu topless driving
Doesnt add anything to the car besides weight and aesthetics.
lexan window has maybe a week before it would probably scratch from something as simple as a carwash brush.. and as anal as i am about the car and dirt, that would drive me batshit insane.
CK hardtop and stock everything else on the body... meh, seems like itll look out of place.

I would say rollbar if you don't mind having the soft top year round. Unless there is a specific NEED for a hardtop, then I would skip it. Only times it is nice is in traffic with top up for visibility out the rear window, and for racing purposes for aerodynamics. Otherwise, soft top is the way to go.
