Painted My Emblems, Lost 20 Hp

I painted my emblems to match the intereior trim (the dark shiny grey), they look great. Ever since then, my car seems to throw my head less than previously when I get on it. I had a leak in the little hose that connects to the BOV from rubbing on the hood, and I swear, it pulled harder than ever with that leak. I trimmed the hose, turned the bov a bit for clearance, hooked that hose back up, and Im either losing my mind, or its not near as peppy. I guess I could be getting more used to it, but I swear its slower. Im thinkin Im going to MAC this week to have them look at it, or maybe get it dynod, see if its just me or not...Anybody with any ideas?
I'd say have MAC take a look at it... sorry not more helpful.

It shouldn't have been faster with a boost leak. Make sure all of your connections are on there tight. The rubbing issue is one of the reasons a lot of the HKS guys cut their stock intercooler cover. You might just be getting used to it. Although, if you're not sure, go fill the tank back up with 91 or higher gas, and reset the ECU. The ECU can be reset by unplugging the battery, and depressing the brake pedal with it unplugged for about 15-20 seconds. Doing this means you will have to reprogram your windows, clock & radio stations.
Sometimes the Speed6's are just picky about either conditions, or gas. Sometimes my MS6 used to pull like a freight train, others it would feel like a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder... Lee can attest to that after we put my former FCD in... a few runs it was pathetic, then after resetting the ECU again, a few runs later the car felt great! Give it a shot.

Sorry to thread jack but: HUH? Reprogram the windows? I guess my Protege isn't as high tech as these Speed 6 machines. My windows never "forget" how to go up and down. Please explain.

The one touch roll down/up on the Speed6 has to be programmed before it will work from the driver's side buttons. It's really easy only takes a few seconds and you never have to do it again as long as you don't disconnect the battery. All you have to do is go to each of the window buttons (on that particular door, not from the driver's door), roll the window down partially, hold the button to roll it back up until it rolls back up, and keep holding until you hear a "clicking" sound.

So, I had the battery unhooked for a while at work, when I left at 5, I hooked it back up, and Im not sure if it was because of the cooler temp today, or the reset, but it definitely pulled hard like I love it.... Id still like to go get a dyno this week sometime, just to see how things are hangin..
