 Bought this car last Friday (I've had it a week) interior is poor, but I didn't mind because I was getting it pretty cheap. It doesn't have hardly any horsepower to get up to speed in 1st & 2nd gears...drinks gas as well, I think about 10-11 mpg. Tonight, my headlights won't work. pop-up doesn't work, and I got under the car to see if headlights were burning but stuck, and they weren't burning at all.

I had taken the car to the mechanic on Thursday to see about fixing the horsepower issue, and he said it was basically a train wreck under the hood (although engine is very clean, and I don't smell fluids burning) where some of the wiring was cut (possibly wrong wiring harness used) and also the previous owner used actual power cable (not an automotive cable) on the hot terminal. All fuses checked out...what could possibly be wrong with the headlight malfunction? How about the lack of power? I was told that the previous owner may have disabled/cut out the CC. Any answers will help. I thought I was getting a deal, but maybe not.

I'm going to need more info on the car. What motor does it have? 12A (carb) or GSL-SE(13B). Pics would also be good. I really need to see some good pics of under the hood. I would recommend looking at the first gen section of the RX-7 Club.

Rx7 don't really have Any torque. I shift at 3k just to not stall also do a good tune up that might help with gas millage I would expect an fb to get better mpg than my fc since it's like 400lb lighter.
