alright so some of you may have heard I recently picked up an 88 626 turbo and couldnt get it to start forever well I finally got it started and came to realize the car had a blown headgasket so I began to get everything from new head gasket, t belt, oil water pumps the works. I finally got the head off today and she had quite a bit of carbon build up that i slowly got taken care of lol but I was wondering if anybody here knew of any shops in the springs i could take the head to make sure there arent any cracks? or things wrong?




this all took about a day of good solid work so hopefully when I get it back from the shop I can have it back together for this cruze coming up:D

make sure you go with an oem or felpro head gasket. and you should probably loc tite the head bolts when you get them back in. i blew 2 headgaskets on the f2 on great tunes....

I got a felpro one so we shall see and thanks for the advice I will do that the head stud closest to the water pump was like coated in nasty black like grease but thats also where the headgasket looked the worst so im hoping its not like a cracked block. I had the head inspected and was givin the thumbs up to bolt it all back togerther:D

ya lol im used to 16 valve motors so when i flipped it over and seen the cylinder round deal I was like whoa lol I love the design of these motors though everything is fairly easy to get to and is like legos lol

yea i used to have a 20v 4ag. it was pretty simple. i think audi stole that design lol

nice that was my first swap ever I had a 20v bottom end with a red top head with blue top cams fully built in an ae86 rolla That was a fun car but me being yung and very very stupid sold it as soon as I got it running right:47446df9:

O man thats sick I bet that thing was a monster regretin it now? and ran into a bump in the road I have to buy new head studs because the stock ones are tty and only good for one use before they reach there stretch limit

the acceleration was just ungodly. i do regret it but then again if i didnt sell it i wouldnt have been able to pay for school.

gotta do what you gotta do but I should have car back together and running by tuesday i would say
