My progress

Postby Hschlick84 » Mon Feb 07, 2011 9:14

Progress so far... I bought all the basic accessories/crap, bumper protector, cargo net, rain visors (will be next), foglight tint, wheel locks. Just waiting for the tax money from W2 to arrive then I'm going to tint the windows, aftermarket rims and MAYBE work on the performance side (CAI, exhaust, header) and suspension. Not sure yet, cause I have to budget myself to pay off this car sooner than I would normally. This is also my DD and don't want to heavily modify it. :D

I am going to get those for my car...

That would be kind of cool if we had the same wheels... but also kind of a killjoy. If you get those you can't paint your calipers pink or we will have huge issues. :)

I have been seriously looking at getting those too! I was looking at silver, so that's ok I guess.

Also, make sure you get the right type of wheel locks for the aftermarket wheels.

Hopefully the place he's getting from will include the right ones. I've bought wheels from Tire Rack and they always make sure you have lugs/wheel locks that will work with the wheels. The lugs for my old winter wheels/tires are different from the stock 18s. Tire Rack included all 20 lugs and a socket for them. Don't remember if it was extra or not.

Usually TireRack charges extra for the locking set. If we all end up getting those wheels we can start a wheel gang... you know, to be cool and stuff.

I'd make you feel so awkward...

I wonder how many people it takes to constitute a group buy for TireRack, if they even do that.

LOL... oh man!

I'd like a group buy on a new set of rims, since I've never done a GB in the past. Just got cargo net and bumper protector installed today, basic junk. Next week is onto window tint.

I've never had a successful group buy :( 3 is not large enough anyway. It would have to be arranged on one of the other forums.

Ordered Corksport urethane mudflaps and the LED kit, then I'm going to hold off on buying stuff until late spring.

Unless... my credit card hates me.

Let me know how the Corksport LED kit works out for you. I want that pretty badly.
