• powersteering recall

did anyone else get a notice for their car having a recall on the powersteering also i was reading on all speeds before july 1st 2008 have a turbo recall on them if they had smoking problems

I heard the power-steering one applies to 08-newer,
When i asked the dealership about the turbo recall for my 07, they said if i'm not having problems they wont fix it, hmmmm...

I didnt vet anything... yet. I don't see it on the Mazda owner website either.

Powersteering. Usually the recall should show up on the Mazda Owner site on mazdausa.com. The AC compressor showed up for my cx7. Maybe it takes some time for it to show up? I guess I'll wait for awhile.

The powersteering is for the regular 3's, not ms3. Different steering systems.

weird though becasue it has my same exact vin # and says mazdaspeed 3 recall for powersteering in the letter

I got a letter also and called McDonald who sent it to verify. Had to leave a message so we'll see what he says if he calls back.

It is on the MazdaUSA website, but doesn't say anything about Mazdaspeeds.

Is anyone taking their car in for the power steering service? Are you returning your cars back to stock to do it?

Has anyone actually called the dealer to see if this recall is correct for our cars? I tried calling the number on the recall letter but only got voicemail and they never called me back. Everything I've seen online says it's only the Mazda 3 and Mazda 5, not the MS3.

And even on Mazda's own website it only mentions Mazda3 and Mazda5, no mention of Mazdaspeed3.
