Postby reconbygod12 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 9:14

I think its a must w/ the shitty *** pcv system on these motors. Most people believe the motors blow because they hydrolock...on oil! Guess where it all came from, the pcv system.

I have one on my car and could/should probably empty it every week, thats how much shit gets caught in mine.

Yeah well dealing with the slurred languages of drunks every weekend tends to help out some ;). And honestly I have no f'ing clue what he said, just picked out key words: msp3, catch can, aftermarket parts, success, failure. From there I made up whatever the **** I wanted him to be saying, if I got it right then tits, if not...not my loss lol :D

Ha ha, that's great.

Reminds me of the movie Beerfest. Where the dude thinks he's all cool, right before he takes the fatty home:lol:

From what I have read on mazdaspeed forums it seems like a pretty necessary preventive maintenance type of part. Just like Tbot was saying, those mazdaspeed forum guys needed to clean garbage out of the catch can pretty regularly, so the factory setup is obviously letting this crap go right back through the motor.

... but with that being said I still don't have one. I don't wanna spend $100 on a what-if kind of part. I'm already paranoid as ***k with this car as it is. Every time I hear a noise I think oh shit there goes my rear motor mount/differential mounts/ball joints/hydro locking cai/hydro locking on oil/KR/low fuel pressure. It would cost a small fortune to get to after everything on this car that worries me.
