does this piece connect to wehre the bov is located and under the intake

No, its the hose in between your SRI/CAI to in to your turbo.

I have the Cobb turbo inlet and have had no issues with it. Definitely noticed an increase in responsiveness from the turbo, but that could just be because I can hear it better now.

You might think about the Protege Garage pipe. They're a chunk less expensive and work just as well.

Same here, I've had my COBB inlet for a long time and never had any issues and you feel the turbo spool better
