Yes, it is coming back in June/July 2011. Fact.
Also; A RX-8 Speed is coming in 2012 with a rotary turbo.
And best yet, the RX-7 will also be back, in 2013.
;-)

Not sure what a "rotory" turbo is but I HIGHLY doubt it. Mazda can hardly get the Renesis to pass emissions as-is, let alone with more power.
There has been speculation of a Mazdaspeed RX-8 since the car came out in 2004. Never happened, and never will. IF, and that's a BIG if, they do a MS RX-8 it will be little more than a body kit, suspension, and other tidbits, but no turbo.
And I sincerely hope Mazda lets the RX-7 moniker lay to rest...reviving it would be bad IMO. Rename it the RX-9 (although Mazda has already made an RX-9, it was a less than impressive sedan available only in Canada in the early '90s IIRC).
EDIT: Forgot if they do release a new rotary engine, it won't be turbo, it will be a direct-injected 1.6 liter (300cc larger) engine dubbed the 16X as of now. But there has been BIG setbacks in the development of the 16X as of late so it won't be coming out for a while. The larger 16X will have larger lobes on the eccentric shaft, a longer rotor sweep area, all yielding more torque. With direct injection (which opens the door to a potential hydrogen version Mazda has already been experimenting with) the 16X could put out between 260-300bhp in NA form.

Don't really care for the new 6 so I'm not enthused. Those last concept pics don't look that great either imo. That 8 on the other hand looks hot.

That RX-8 has been around nearly as long as the 2nd Gen 8. It's just a MazdaSpeed Bodykit how they have for the Gen1 8's. Most likely upgraded suspension and bumper changes nothing else. If I'm not mistaken that is an R3 RX-8 with slight modifications to the bumper and MS wing added. Only way to get a "REAL" SpeedRX-8 is to build one yourself.
As far as the Speed6 looks nice but I still prefer the older 6's to the new ones. But I can see Mazda making a new speed6 if it was in their intrest.
The "RX-7/9" ........ That's an ooooollllldddddd concept. I think it was one of the first.

If there is a new Speed6, and it is AWD, and MTX, and the motor doesn't blow to hell like the current model, and it's 300 HP or more, I'll be buying one...whenever they go on sale used. LOL.

I still think the next Speed6 should be a re-tooled Mazda version of the new Ford Taurus SHO. Use the same chassis and driveline, just stretch some sexier Mazda sheetmetal over it, drop about 500lbs, infuse the typical great Mazda handling, and we have a winner.
That would be a 365-bhp, direct-injected twin turbo all-wheel drive V-6. Only "problem" is the Ford is only available with a slushbox, so the Mazda version would have to have a slick 6-speed gearbox. If Mazda did that, I would seriously consider buying one.

So mazda made the speed6 to compete w/ the Legacy GT, I wish they would make something to compete directly with the wrx. Say 3 sedan w/ awd and a better dizi motor. Then I would be happy. The 6 is a boat of car in comparison and that is the one thing that I really miss about my 3 was its size and the go cart type handling (which I don't even come close to getting w/ the 6). That would be the car I'd seriously consider getting.

RVP for Mazda was @ Spradley this morning and stated this information was released internally last week to many dealerships. All three of those models are what he said. A all new MS6, "rotary" turbo (yes turbo) MS-RX8, and a RX7, not a RX9.
National information release is supposed to be in the next few months.
Just passing on what I was told. I grilled him on the RX turbo over and over, and he said that is 100% the motor going in it.
The new MS6 is stated to be new from the ground up, not even related to the new Mazda 6.

They did. It's called the Mazdaspeed3.
