2010 ms3 hatin?

Postby kbull38 » Wed Aug 26, 2009 9:14

I am new to this club, but come on, the 2010 ms3 is not as bad as what I have been reading! I will admit that the front grill makes my gaydar go off, but the styling of the rest of the car is awesome, I find myself looking at it alot. The functional scoop is nasty, the wheels are way better than the 2009 ms3 463? spoke things, and the interior is something to behold (I bought a red one, so the red accents are nice, did I mention the blue lights all around?). 2 Hours after I bought my 2010 ms3 in colorado I drove 3 hours home, and when I got home I felt like I had been in my own bed for three hours, the seats are so comfortable, and I averaged 30 MPG on the way home (at 74 mph average). I understand that there are alot of old school ms3 fans out there but after seeing the pics of the 2010, (the scoop, and the side view sold me) I had to have one (I was considering buying a 2009 subaru wrx sti). Give the car a chance! Oh, by the way, I took the K&N air filter out of my 2004 mazda 3 and it fit perfectly in the 2010, NICE!:D

I agree with youkbull38. I like everything about the car but the grill. A body kit (whenever they come out) to change the front slightly and it would be golden.

I haven't been much of a fan with the way Mazda has been taking any of their new car designs.

Give it time. It will grow on people. I didn't like the new STI when it first came out, now I like it.

I love everything about the car except for the grille. I wouldn't get one until an aftermarket company had a bumper to eliminate it LOL, but other than that I love it.

I don't think people are hating on the car so much as they are hating on the front grill. The 2010 MS3 is just as awesome as the previous years, but some people, including me a bit, can't get past the front bumper. I too love the side view, rear (despite the dual exhaust), and oh my, the interior is just perfect!

I hope you don't take all the grief the 2010 gets personally. None is aimed at anyone specifically, and like Tom (MazdaTom) said, we will all grow to love it. I was just like Tom a year ago when the new STi's came out, and now i love them. Enjoy your speed!!!

Yeah, don't stress about all of the comments. If you are happy with your MS3 then don't let any comments get you down. Every car is going to get them.

I hear the same things about the 8 all the time too in regards to it doesn't have enough TQ. Regardless, I still love my 8.

The front grill is way to happy though, LOL!

^^^I agree with DarthRX8.

You have to learn to ignore the immature punks. There's a lot of them around that will ridicule and take the piss on everyone else's car.

It's your car. Enjoy it!

Like most have stated it's that front bumper that makes people say ewwww.. I love the rest of the car besides the Tailights and That front grill. Oh and that stupid GIANT logo they started moulding into the bumpers. Gross.....

Other than that I like it. Same as the new RX-8s I hate the Bumper, not a fan of the side vents, and well the moulded in logo. Makes me sick. But the rest of the car is nice and that's all that matters.

FInally saw a 2010 speed 3 on the road yesterday, a black one, it looked nice. The driver wanted nothing to do with going fast at all. I think i will always be partial to the first gen though...looks alot more solid to me.
