Anyone adjusting their Synapse BPV?
Anyone adjusting their Synapse BPV?
Who here is running a Synapse besides myself? I'm curios if anyone has played with or needed to tune it to work with their individual setup? I noticed the other day that my vacuum lines to ports A and B were loosening/unthreading the barbs on the valve from everyday movement. I have the preload adjustment screw in the position it was in out of the box. Anyone doing anything differently?
I am not doing anything different on mine. The factory setting should be just fine with the boost that the K04 puts out. I don't think you need to adjust until you get over 30psi, but I may be wrong. You might want to check out the Synapse forums if you have a more specific problem.

Funny you mention that- I noticed the nipples/barbs (whatever they're called) were loose like a day or so after I had it. I tightend them up, but haven't checked since. Now that you mention it, I probably ought to!
As far as that adjustment screw deal. I remember the directions saying it was preadjusted and not to touch it. With that said, I accidentally moved it and ended up putting it back (to where I thought it was before).

one and one makes two, together we are free

BTW, be very careful when tightening up those barbs. I had one snap off on me while I was trying to tighten it. Luckily though I just sent it to Synapse and they sent me a brand new one for my troubles. Only cost me $25 including shipping out to them. They sent it back overnight at their expense. I love good customer service.

Wow you must have really cranked on it. I tightened mine by hand as best I could, then gave it another nudge with a pari of needle nose pliers...seem to be hold up now.
Mine become loose over time too, I used blue locktite and they have not come out again. I just checked this morning still tight.......I also have not messed with any adjustments.

What is the position of the little nut on the adjustment screw? Mine came with it threaded halfway up the screw.
