Bob Penkhus Comes Through Again

So I took the MS6 in for an oil change today, and the Penkhus guys asked about tires. I told them I was taking it to Discount Tire for Eagle GTs at $706 out the door with free lifetime rotations.
So they offered the same deal, but for $653! $53 saved and the ability to do rotations at the same time as oil changes -- that makes me HAPPY!
Now to see what they can do for the CX-9 versus COSTCO!

Well, if they're going to beat Discount Tire AND offer free lifetime rotations, they'll have my business.

Yep. My wife likes their service department better, but I'm partial to the woodmen folks.

Well, I like most of the guys at the Woodmen store. Joey C is awesome, but I'm not so sure about Skip....but overall I like them.

Got the car back today, with a brand new set of Goodyear Eagle GTs in 225 40 ZR18. So far, with limited miles on them, I like them. They gripped really well in a hard turn, and the tread certainly seems good for rougher conditions. MUCH quieter than the Exclaim UHPs, and a bit of a smoother ride too.
And Joey threw in a good deal on an alignment for me, too, since I'm a regular, AND they took my car out and washed it. That frees up some time this weekend!
I tried to get them to trade the MS6 straight up for the Shelby Mustang GT sitting on their lot, but they didn't go for it. LOL.

Just an FYI. We just dropped our prices on tires. Those same tires would have been $550.00 with free rotations. I doubt you would drive always up to see us though.

Wow! That IS a price drop.
They ended up not being able to beat COSTCO on the Michelin Lattitude Tour HPs for the CX-9, though. We're getting them for $585 installed.
