Installed: CP-e Nviscid Pipe

I installed this on Friday. For those who don't know, this pipe goes between the intake and the turbo inlet. In my case, it goes from a CAI to this pipe, to the turbo inlet.

This wound up being a much more difficult install than I was expecting. The largest problem is getting enough space to work the pipe in and down to the turbo inlet. Though, removal of the stock piece is not very difficult.

The key to success for me was removing the OEM ECU cable bracket that you won't be able to use anyway because this pipe takes up room...lots of room.

Obviously, with an ECU reset I don't know how differently the car will behave once it settles down but my initial impressions are:

  • a very noticeable increase in turbo spooling sound
  • a decrease in volume and lengthening in duration of my Forge BPV
I am not really sure why the latter would be the case...not that I am complaining since the Forge BPV is very sharp and aggressive.

Somewhat alarming was how loose the factory clamp was on the turbo inlet...it move as soon as I touched it.

I can't say I am impressed with the clearances of this pipe around the block so I am not certain what the result will be with consistently high temps so I will have to monitor it until I get comfortable with it.

Very nice. Ya I want to get my hands on that as well but I kind of already spent a lot of money other parts. Besides with my recent incident with water through the turbo I don't know if mine is going to hold up for that much longer. So if mine goes I would probably upgrade the turbo and then get the inlet pipe for the upgraded turbo. Keep us posted though I want to know what you notice once it gets all settled in.

Overall, I really like this mod. The turbo sounds quite different and she feels lighter on the throttle.

This did not do me any favors with the shutter under load so I think the fuel pump upgrade is going to remain on the list. I bloody hate the shutter.

Do they have pump upgrades for you guys with your direct injection system?

I've heard others have the same "studder" on the MS6 mainly....from the MS6's I've seen and rode in it's misfires.

CP-e has a rebuilt high pressure fuel pump replacement. It allegedly fixes this frustration.
