According to Chris, I should have made a post a while back to show off my new toy. I traded in my 03 protege for a 99 miata around early February. To be honest, at first I was questioning my purchase, but rwd is just too damn fun. This car will be my daily driver/SCCA/NASA car, so it will see far more mods then my protege. Also I lucked out, it has a factory torsen LSD and a full set of toyo proxes (I'm amazed by these tires). Sadly all I have at the moment is one dark shot I took by my apartment in Manitou, but I will grab some more tomorrow at PPIR

Awesome man! You're gonna have so much fun with that car. It kills me that people still makes jokes about a man's masculinity driving this car. I just tell them "say what you want, but that is one hell of a track car, and the guy driving it looks like he's smiling too big to be concerned with what you think" haha.

There was one in Okinawa with big fender flares and WIDE tires on all 4 corners, it looked mean! Sounded mean too. There are some really cool looking ones now and knowing how good they are on the track makes it even better.

Cool, congrats on the Miata. I test drove a few a couple of years ago, and nearly picked one up as a 2nd car after the MG died.

Personally I would do some suspension upgrades first, but that is just due to me hanging around the drifter guys too long. We like our cars loowww and most of them are sloowww. Haha. The miata obviously has fantastic handling in stock form, but any car that old is going to have tired suspension. It'd be so much more fun to drive with a set of konis and some lowering springs, or full blown adjustable coilovers. But yeah, if you do decide to go FI first, post details on what setup you're thinking about
