Hey now, not all RX-7s are slow

Great read though.
"In the end, what defines a Slow Car isn't slowness per se, but its ability to engage and entertain drivers at speeds that won't inspire the highway patrol to scramble a squadron of interceptors."
I think that sums it up pretty well...

Awesome article. I can kind of relate since i went from a sort of slow car, my old 3, to my MS3. Though i absolutly love my MS3, i do miss the ability to go WOT from light to light in my old 3 and not be going 20-30 over the speed limit by the middle of 3rd gear. Also my old 3 was much quieter than my MS3 so it attracted much less attention when i was playing around.

I think if I had it to do over again, I'd probably go turbo again, but only 6 psi with a 2554.. as it is now, I hardly ever break 5K rpm anymore unless I mean it.

That was a good read, thanks for sharing!
I always wondered why I had so much fun in my 95 Jetta 5 speed, it was my beater car of course. I redlined that car all the time, took corners as fast as I could (it had so much body roll I doubt I would have been able to open my door without hitting the ground), but I had so much fun driving it like that.
Don't get me wrong though, my FD is COMPLETELY opposite, and I love driving that even more haha. All I have to do is keep it in second or third haha.
