Lol! Just a question, I am looking to update my headlights. I want something stylish, but also something that will help me see a bit better I drive 50 miles round trip to and from school each day which means driving back to the boonies in Brighton in the dark.

Welcome.
I think there was a thread on upgrading the headlights on the 6 not long ago that might help you even though you have a 3. I'll see if I can find it.
Also I will move you to the 3 section, you will get more help there.

welcome! and what kind of headlights do you have now? I hear HIDs are a nice upgrade. There are a few here who have done it a 6, the 3 should be similar?

woo hoo another 06 3!!! I know I was looking to upgrade to the 6000k HID's and am probably going to get them thru my old work. From what I understand they are just plug and play, i.e. plug into stock harness and your good to go!

if you can afford it.. I highly recommend doing a retro kit.. Its alot of work but worth it.. Im getting ready to do it in my Pathfinder this weekend.. Maybe I'll do a "how To" on it.. but its way better than just doing a plug and play kit..
If you guys want a cheap place to buy HID kits that are acutally a good quality kit.. then check out
http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html they are probably the cheapest kits you can get for how good they are..
and as far as the retro kit goes,, check out

So can you fill me in on a retro kit vs plug and play? Even a pm would work too memphis. Thanks.

And FYI when I was refering to plug and play the HID wire harness (which includes the bulb and ballast) just plugs into the stock wire harness. Which is exactly how the kit you listed is and I can get it cheaper than that

You might be able to get them cheaper.. but are you getting a life time warrantly with it??? These kits come with lifetime and trust me,, you'll want it.. The kit I had in my 6 I had to place a ballast 4times!!! If I didnt have that warranty then I woulda been screwed..
As far as the whole retro kit goes.. What Im refering to is taking out the headlamp and opening it up and replacing the factory NON HID/Halogen Projectors and retro fitting them with a real HID projector. If you have just a plug in play kit in there you will get all sorts of glare to that can be bad for on coming drivers.. I will tell you this. when I had my HID plug and play kit in the 6, it was bright, but not as bright as I thought it would be.. reason being, is the light was just scattered all over the place.. It looked sexy as hell, but for the purpose of actually putting light on the road it sucked..
Thats why I decided to do the full retro in my new car.. Ya its expensive, but its way worth it.. Im doing it this weekend hopefully and I'll do some before and after pics.. Check out that retrofitsource.com to see more pics and read up in it in their forums.. The difference between retro and plug and play is like night and day..
