Hey guys I'm relativevly new to owning a speed 3 and am looking to do a corksport downpipe and su test pipe. The cetch is that I need a shop to install the downpipe and be able do weld in a universal cat to the test pipe. Possibly even fab a test pipe, but I'm not sure on that yet. I don't know if it would be cheaper to have somone fab the test pipe or buy one from su and then have the cat welded in. Are there any possible down sides to doing either? I live in the Fort Collins/Loveland area so any shop around here with experience would be great (preferably Loveland though). I would appreciate any thoughts you guys have on the subject.

Not sure what import experience they have but Scott at US Performance has a lot of experience with turbos. His personal ride is a Mustang but i know they do other things as well.

I know nothing about that area. I can only recommend Buds Muffler, down in the Denver area.

Sorry about the location, But finding the right place usually isn't going to be right down the street. There is a place that does exceptional work called MAC. The usaully work on drift cars or weilding in roll cages. If your looking for a great place then they would be it.

I know Tommy at Street Concepts off Colfax in Aurora can certainly do it for you. Shop:303 341 2160, Cell: 303 918 7337. Cell is the best way to reach him.

SCR Performance in Loveland could install the downpipe for you. They are mostly a german shop, but most of the guys that work there drive japanese.

Why wouldnt you just buy a DP with a cat and install it yourself? Youd save money in the long run. Install is easy..

That is so funny that you say that. Is that the same Scott that used to own his own performance shop in Fort Collins? If so he built me a custom turbo set up for my old 2004 z06. It took him almost a year to complete it and in the process he set my fuel injectors a flame. Now if it isn't him which it probablt isn't then no offense but if it is I think i'll pass as we didn't leave on the best of circumstances. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Honestly, I have my doubts with the install portion but I think that I can save at least 150 dollars doing the two seperate. Also, in case the damn thing starts to smoke like so many others I will still be able to use the test pipe portion and the whole thing won't be a waste. You really think its not that tough to do say a corksport dp (I am no mechanic, but I can do small projects) ?:confused:

I have a Corksport DP. Eric and I have installed it twice now.

spped 6 installs are WAY harder than speed 3's too..
