Exhaust options

I am looking into exhaust modifications for the spring!! woot soo excited to get my stock Speed6 some more zoom!

What are your opinions on the CPE cat back exhaust? They have 2 options
1) a single exhaust http://www.cp-e.com/2031.html
2) a dual exhaust http://www.cp-e.com/2106.html

Clearly there is a cost advantage going with the single but would there be a performance advantage?

Has anyone had experience with the dual exhaust? (is it notably quieter)

What other manufacturers do you recommend that make a "quiet" performance exhaust?

My goal is to make the speed 6 as modified as possible without ruining its daily driver characteristics.

Thank for all the help!

I think the big difference between the single and the dual is the look. Your car slock has a dual outlet and a dual would fill both holes in the bumper but that is it. There probably is not performance dif. and the single will be lighter.

Gmoney has/had a dual CPE catback. I think he even sold it to someone else on here so two people on the boards have had experience with it. I would personally go with the dual, it may be more, but it suites the car better. Unless the single is visualy a dual via a Y pipe. Only then would i go with a "single"

The CP-E dual is pretty sweet, but I personally don't want 3" exhaust. If I had to pick between the two, I'd definitely go dual exit.

I still have it sitting in the basement for now(may still sell it). As far as sound goes, I have no comparison to the single but it is quite a bit louder than stock. It was an impulse buy back about a year ago.......when things were good at work.

The workmanship is great and it sounds great but you will need to consider something like the corksport resonator/racepipe if you drive your car often, as it is louder....I love it but in small doses. The clips don't give it justice.

As far as performance the single will give you a little more bang for your buck, but it seems weird to only have a single on a car with dual outlets(IMO).

You are more then welcome to come check it out at some point just let me know. I the middle of a move and renovation(and losing my job :()
