Mazda cai "NOW AVAILABLE"

Postby jt2589 » Mon Dec 22, 2008 9:14

Attention Parts & Service Managers,

Sometime during MNAO’s shutdownwe expect that the MAZDASPEED3 Cold Air Intake kits (GRMS-8M-L29) will become available. Initially, we’ll have a 100 pieces re-worked at Olive Branch. Because we don’t know the exact date, an EFC will be sent out after the holiday break.

Additionally, the GRMS-8M-H32 (MAZDASPEED6) is currently available.

Happy Holidays

I have the old one on also and haven't been able to get any info from Sill-Terhar after the recall so I would be interested in the remedy also. Thanks!

So is the MS6 part available, or still being ironed-out?

you should be able to buy the air-straightener piece from the revise AEM intake to clear up any cel issues as well.

Wait so the speed6 CAI was pulled from the shelves? But someone just said that they were still being sold... does anyone know whats wrong with them? cause last i heard they were turning the engine light on but Mazda did not know why.

I think it had something to do with the turbulence near the MAF setting off a CEL. Aftermarket intakes have "air straighteners" or some such device to prevent or eliminate that issue. Last I heard they were not available by Mazda at this time...
